About the organization

The NGO was established at the initiative of Yaniv Hagyi from Kibbutz Be’eri, together with residents of the western Negev, who witnessed firsthand the magnitude of the event and the danger that its memory would fade.

Our mission is to document and present the events of October 7 through the collection of digital testimonies from residents of the western Negev.

The testimonies will focus on the critical hours of that day and authentically portray the community’s experience, the memory of the victims, and the stories of bravery, resourcefulness, and mutual responsibility.

Since our establishment, we have succeeded

• Collecting over a million messages,

photos and videos sent in real time
• Building partnerships with the National Library and other institutions in Israel and around the world
• Establishing a digital infrastructure for preservation, research, and commemoration

So what do we do?

As part of the project, we focus on collecting and compiling WhatsApp conversations, photos, videos, and recorded calls from October 7 and 8, to preserve them in a single digital archive.

Project representatives visit communities to assist in preserving this important content, while ensuring the protection of privacy and data security.

The technology we developed allows us to carefully select content from the relevant days, ensuring that your privacy on other days remains protected and secure.

Your privacy comes above all else.

Your privacy and the security of the information you share with us are of utmost importance in our project.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the safety of the content you provide.

All collected materials will be handled with care and stored in a secure system, with access restricted to authorized personnel only.

We respect your right to choose what information to share and in what form.

The project is intended to document and preserve content that is vital to understanding the events, and we will do everything we can to ensure that the experience of sharing your materials is comfortable and not stressful for you.
